In the spirit of learning and adventure I have cast my nets into the vast ocean of the internet to see what happens. I have a lot of random interesting thoughts and stories but I'm not convinced any one else will care. Self consciousness be damned! I will wade out into these mysterious waters of the internet that are filled with beautifully curated content and internet trolls alike.
One philosophy I return to every time I feel stuck or unmotivated is to learn something new. Everyone can benefit from it no matter what age. When I graduated from college just a few years ago (or longer) I thought I was done with learning. What else could I possibly learn outside of an institution of higher knowledge? Turns out a lot, actually.
Although a braver version of me would have immediately thrown themselves into website creation I needed gentle prodding from reading about it, a dozen times, and learn a smidgen about programming before I thought this was something I could do and wanted to do.
So this will be a place to put my writing and web design skills to the test and hopefully learn something along the way. I will end with one of my favorite quotes my high school English teacher put on the syllabus but I have kept throughout the years until I memorized it.
“If you aren't in over your head, how do you know how tall you are?”
