My Isolation Creations

I’m currently social distancing and staying at home as much as possible like all the cool kids. Instead of letting the anxiety of the whole situation get the better of me, which is so easy to do, I’ve decided to create instead. This isn’t me making light of the situation. I’m very grateful for the ability of remote work through technology, the limited level of impact this pandemic has on my life and everyone I know is safe and staying that way.

I follow Jamie Beck on Instagram @annestreetstudio and her reaction besides the usual ones was to make use of her extra time in a creative way. She started a series called Isolation Creation and is selling poster prints of her currently 13 consecutive days of creating a new photograph daily. In the spirit of this trend I’m making the best of things, certainly not making light of them, because besides staying inside there isn’t a lot I can do personally. So why not create?

I’m going to try and post at least once a week just to have a creative outlet and a fun project to look forward to.
