Snail Slime Mask Review

Snail Slime Mask Review

Will snail slime do anything for my under eyes? The Petitfee Gold & Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch is the product of choice so I smeared snail slime under my eyes for beauty purposes. Here's how it went.

I like to think of myself as a logical skeptic. I will read no less than 20 reviews for a product and if I'm still on the fence about it will walk away rather than throw my dollars at it. Lately I've loosened the reins a bit and after listening to an interview with masking for trouble aka the craziest of the bunker girls on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Lauren Adams, on the Forever 35 podcast I decided to get more beauty masks.

My first foray into sheet masks was the Skinesque sheet mask kits which are a much needed break during the week. Everyone expects Mondays to suck but for me Tuesday's are almost always worse. The cure is the Skinesque sheet mask I use every Tuesday night. I hate to sound like a beauty guru but it makes you glow, literally. Or more like a nice sheen. It's hard to describe but it is super hydrating.

I sought out some of the masks Lauren talked about on Amazon. From the beauty grapevine I’ve heard snail slime is great but still seems weird to put on your face. I bought these Petitfee Gold & Snail Hydrogel Eye Patches which also glitter from the gold flecks. The epitome of luxury. I slapped these puppies on to see what would happen.

The Good News

The eye patches travel a bit but didn't slide down my face. I also wasn't doing vigorous activity besides sitting and looking at my reflection. My skin is fairly sensitive and they weren’t irritating. The jar and masks smelled surprisingly good. For a mask they are good bang for your buck. The price fluctuates on Amazon but hovers around $18 for 60 masks (30 applications because you have two eyes). They are hydrating which is the main reason to buy them. There are instructions in English which is always nice since these originally come from Korea.

The Bad News

Channeling the power of the snail slime...

Channeling the power of the snail slime...

They didn't cure my under eye circles because are deep, dark pools of purple made by genetics. Maybe a product will change them someday? A girl can dream. Here is the super condensed review. These are great for non irritating, under eye hydration.

I'm slowly morphing into someone who has a beauty regime. I blame the Skinesque masks in my Box of Style as my gateway mask. They were so good I had to stock up on more. I have more masks, some slimier than others, coming in the mail so stay tuned for those babies!
