White Button Down Outfits for Spring or Summer

They are usually pretty dress heavy, the undone button up below is technically a dress, but I've found plenty of cute tops from them as they diversify their offerings.
Texas likes to sprint into summer in the middle of May and rarely let up until October. We are already in the balmy, humid days of summer here, temperature wise. I used to think the only way to survive a Texas summer was wearing the least amount of clothes I could get away with; halters, tube tops and spaghetti straps for days. That worked for a few years until I had to wear clothes to work during the summer. Suddenly my game plan had to change. I've leaned into breathable fabrics, smart layers and covering my limbs as my go to ways to stay cool and not become a ball of sweat. Covering up in breathable layers keeps me cool and more protected from the sun which desires to burn me any time I step outside.
Button downs are an every season favorite of mine with white being the obvious favorite when it starts to top 100 degrees. Mine err on the side of baggy because they can always be belted, tucked in or tied up to show off your shape or remain cool and breezy with your waistline a mystery. These can be worn anywhere and everywhere including any Memorial Day festivities coming up this weekend. Watch out for staining sauces and condiments.
